We Helped Organized San Diego's Most Valuable Artifacts
The San Diego Archaeological Center was created as a storage center for artifacts that have been dug up throughout the San Diego area. The Center
also provides space for exhibits, research and educational programs. Particularly
at new construction sites, invaluable artifacts were being retrieved on a regular basis, but without practical places to store the items, the risk of
damage or loss was increasing.
To accommodate the precious artifacts, the San Diego Archaeological Center remodeled an old school building and asked the Olpin Group to work along
side them to provide vast amounts of storage units for holding and organizing San Diego's artifacts. Olpin Group designed and built a High Density
Mobile storage system to house 1100 archive boxes. It included a total of four systems, three for archive storage and one library system for research
papers, book and other hard copy documents. Olpin Group also designed the Modular Millwork for workstations, storage and functional work
counters.
Olpin Group had the privilege of hosting an open house and tour of the San Diego Archaeological Center on November 6th. We had a great turnout with a
number of business and industry professionals. Olpin Group wants to thank Cindy Stankowski and Marie Anderson for their hospitality.
Next time you visit the Wild Animal Park in the beautiful San Pasqual Valley, stop by the Archaeological Center for a visit! Admission is free. Just
tell Cindy we sent you. She loves visitors!
